Lead To is a governance and leadership delivery, advisory and training practice, supporting boards and executive leaders across the social sector in the UK, and beyond. We help to strengthen the oversight and leadership of organisations working to create positive social impact, in order to lead to better outcomes for the organisations we work with, and those that they serve.

We know that the requirements placed on non-profit boards are ever-increasing, and the responsibility that our leaders take on to meet the expectations of their teams, stakeholders and beneficiaries are only growing. Our team have lived and breathed senior executive and non-exec roles in the non-profit sector - we know that leadership can be lonely and decision-making can be difficult. We are here to help lift the load and provide wraparound support to ensure that your governance, leadership and strategy activities work for you.

Advise
We provide ‘wraparound’, ongoing secretariat support to boards and senior leadership teams. This encompasses meeting planning and delivery across the annual cycle, and board development, alongside technical coordination of internal delegations, risk, audit and policy approvals, company secretarial activities, and codification of processes.
We provide bespoke governance advisory support according to your organisation’s needs. We specialise in supporting organisations and leaders at times of change and transition, in particular: in the start-up phase of a new venture; at the point of spin-out/ independence from a ‘host’ or ‘incubator’; during the scale-up, growth phase; and at times of collaboration, merger, or restructure.

Review
We create and facilitate bespoke training sessions and development programmes for boards, senior leaders and professionals on topics relating to governance and leadership. Our sessions are tailored to address the specific challenges and needs faced by the organisation.
We offer governance reviews, providing objective insights into areas of strength, recommendations for development, compliance with relevant regulatory/Charity Commission guidance, and good practice. Our approach helps organisations enhance their governance frameworks, ensuring they are resilient, transparent, and aligned with sector standards.
